Automobile Dacia production for the first time in the company'shistory went beyond the 300,000-car level in the first 11 months ofthis year, after almost 30,000 units were manufactured inNovember.
Overall, in January-November period the plant's production reachedalmost 312,400 cars, up almost 15% from the same period of lastyear, according to with APIA statistical data.
In total, Dacia will manufacture more than 330,000 cars this year,according to Constantin Stroe, the company's vice-president,topping thus initial estimates amid Western European market demand,particularly for Duster.
The plant's maximum capacity stands at 350,000 per year and it willnot be expanded. To handle range expansion, the French are alreadybuilding a third Dacia plant in Morocco.
Dacia will manufacture cars totally worth over 3bn euros this year,according to ZF estimates, compared with 2.3bn euros in 2009, withgrowth coming amid rising production, as well as on the increase ofthe average price to over 10,000 euros, as a result of the launchof the Duster SUV, whose average price is almost double theLogan's.
