Marelvi, 13m-euro turnover in H1

21.08.2006, 21:01 16

Suceava-based Marelvi company, a distributor of electrical home appliances, registered turnover worth more than 13m euros in the first half of the year, up 8% from the similar period of last year. "The expanding sales team, doubled by investments in regional warehouses, sustained by product portfolio diversification were the main factors triggering turnover growth. This growth is all the more important as the market is experiencing a decline," said Violeta Guramulta, Marelvi CEO. The figures are in line with the company's expectations, she added. During the first six months of the year, the best-selling products in the company's portfolio were frigorific equipment, audio-video systems and washing machines. "In line with our strategy, we forecast we will be able to reach the ambitious targets we have set for the second half of the year, so that at the end of 2006 we may report growth against 2005," said Guramulta. "In 2006, we expect a 10% turnover growth against 2005," added Lucian Ciuta, Marelvi marketing and sales officer.
