Home appliances and apartment heating systems distributor Meda Oradea anticipates turnover to stand at 35 million euros this year, an increase of 9% on 2004. "Turnover this year is close to that in 2004, given that prices in euros on the market fell 10% and the euro exchange rate by another 10%," says Bogdan Lebu, the company''s marketing manager. He says Meda managed to offset these negative factors by breaking up its division into profit centres, developing its brands through intensive communication in the media and through the improvement of its logistics capacity. The home appliances division accounts for 64% of Meda''s business, the small appliances division accounts for 11% and heating systems generate 25% of revenues. ZF
