Do-It-Yourself store network Mr. Bricolage will open two stores this year in Bucharest and Pitesti, in which it will invest up to 16 million euros. "We will invest 7-8 million euros for each new opening, with the total investment in the Mr. Bricolage network this year amounting to 24 million euros," stated Tudor Profir, general manager of Mr. Bricolage Romania. He did not wish to specify where the remainder of the investment planned for 2007 would go. The first Mr. Bricolage store in Romania was opened in November last year, with a total investment of 7 million euros. The network will total three stores at the end of this year, with another three Mr. Bricolage outlets to be opened next year. Plans for the home improvement retailer target the development of a 30-store network, in cities with over 150,000 inhabitants, through total investments worth 220 million euros. "The real estate market is undergoing a state of excitement, which I think will continue this year, as well," added Tudor Profir.
