Rompetrol Rafinare, the Romanian petroleum group run by businessman Dinu Patriciu, reported losses worth 41 million RON (11.6 million euros) in the first nine months of the year, against profits worth 408.8 million RON (approximately 115 million euros) reported the same time last year. As compared with the first six months of the year, the company lost a further 2 million euros. During this period the company's turnover reached 4.02 billion RON (1.14 billion euros) increasing by 15% in euros against the same time last year, according to non-consolidated results reported by the company, in accordance with the Romanian accounting standards. Together with its branches that include petrol stations, petrochemical facilities and warehouses, Rompetrol Rafinare posted turnover worth 1.5 billion dollars (1.18 billion euros), a 15% increase against the same time last year.
