Radisson hotel boss: Most clients having lunch and dinner do not stay at the hotel

Ali Yilmaz Yildirimlar, general manager of Raddison Blu on CaleaVictoriei hotel, the five-star hotel boasting the biggest capacityin Bucharest, 424 rooms, maintains that in the first nine months ofthe year food & beverage revenues rose by 13.3% against thesame period of last year, while revenues from the conferencesegment stagnated.


"A major contribution in overall revenues, namely almost 25%, isbrought by the hotel's restaurants. A lot of persons, who are notaccommodated at Radisson Blu, come to have lunch and dinner withus, either at a business meeting or a personal one," stated AliYilmaz Yildirimlar, without specifying the absolute value ofrevenues brought by restaurants.
The hotel on Calea Victoriei operates Dacia Felix Restaurant, witha 220-seat capacity, Prime Steaks&Sea Food, with 44 seats,Citta coffee shop and Bla Lounge Bar, Dark Bla Bar and Light BlaTerrace.
The hotel's officials did not disclose turnover generated in thefirst nine months, maintaining, though, revenues were largelybrought by accommodation services.
"Accommodation contributes 55-56% to the hotel's total revenues,restaurants 25-26%, conference organisation brings 16-17%, and therest comes from the services we provide, using hotel room phones orparking".
