Radu Timis profits from real estate context to set up 200-district store network

Radu Timis, one of the best-known domestic entrepreneurs, ownerof CrisTim charcuterie producer, plans to develop a 200-districtstore network in Bucharest in the next three years, a projectlaunched this year, when 33 stores have already been opened.

"We now have 33 district stores, opened in the past five or sixmonths, and we want to reach 60 by yearend. The goal is that tohave 200 such stores in a first stage in the next three years,"stated Radu Timis, shareholder of CrisTim, a company with 85m-euroturnover in the charcuterie industry.

Through the decision to develop a large district store network,the owner of CrisTim enters direct competition with Mic.ro storenetwork, a concept developed by Dinu Patriciu.

Timis's advantage in developing such a network is that CrisTimgroup of companies has a very high production capacity, permanentlyensuring the needed products and allowing him to set his own pricepolicy.

"Investments per store stand at 30-40,000 euros as fitting worksare done through another company part of the group,Sensconstruct".

Timis added that investments in the network are self-funded andthat the 200 stores will be opened only in Bucharest.
