06.03.2007, 18:51 14

Ramnicu Valcea-based RomSoft company, a supplier of Oracle software products, expects to derive a turnover worth 12 million euros this year, 30% higher than last year; when it generated a turnover standing at 8.4 million euros.
"This improvement in financial indicators will be mainly triggered by the opening of the market as a result of our country's EU accession and by companies' rising demand for computer systems with a view to getting in line with EU standards. The online tracking of productivity increases will become a major 'must' in terms of economic growth. So far, exports have accounted for around 10% in overall turnover, but we expect them to increase by as much as 30% this year, amid the expansion of the IT services market in EU countries," Claudia Ursateanu, general manager with RomSoft Ramnicu Valcea told ZF Transilvania.
This year, the company's investment and development plans will focus on the development of its infrastructure, including employee professional training, moves in marketing and international positioning, as well as the opening of a new IT parts production line.
"The market will follow an upward trend in our domain of activity, followed by a period of saturation and levelling. Software services will certainly make up the core of the IT market (...)," believes Claudia Ursateanu.
The company is involved in consultancy, in designing, building and implementing its own solutions developed in Oracle technologies, provides data base installation and management services, outsourcing services, and HP or IBM infrastructure solutions. Its main domestic customers are machinery building companies, producers in the energy sector, utilities, distribution and media services, as well as some public institutions.
The company's product portfolio includes JD Edwards Enterprise Package, made up of a complete series of business software applications, modular, integrated and developed to secure a faster workflow for organisations producing, distributing, maintaining or managing assets. The company also provides the following IT solutions: Persal, Romfact, Romtrans, Evimed, M.I.S.
According to the company's management, the company will launch software applications for protection and security activities and for the public administration this year.
