Sales of RTC Holding down 12% to 56 million euros in first half

The business of RTC Holding group, which includes companiesoperating on the courier service, stationery, book, fashion andmanufacturing markets, controlled by businessman Octavian Radu,went down by 12% in the first half and reached 56 million euros,compared with the same time of last year.

A few months ago, book retailer Diverta, which had 10 millioneuros in debt and 30 million euros in business in 2009, as well ascourier service company TCE Logistic`, with 8.5 million euros indebt, also part of the RTC Holding, went insolvent and startedreorganisation.

"We are no longer losing money from our operations groupwide,compared with 2009, when we posted 2 million euros in losses in thefirst half. Considering the seasonal nature of our businesssectors, I hope that the second half will bring us back to netprofit," Octavian Radu stated.

The sales decline pace, 12% in the first six months of 2010, waslower than in the same time of 2009, when some companies in thegroup, such as the Diverta bookstores, posted 30% drop inbusiness.
