Terra seaside resort, a mere promise

The foreign investors that have bought land near 23 Augustlocality, where Terra all-inclusive 50-ha resort was announced,maintain they will not develop any touristic resort in thefollowing years in the area and that, though there was aninvestment plan at the moment the land was purchased, everything isjust on paper at present.
"Who starts building villas and hotels during times of crisis? Itwas just a plan the company had two years ago, but which is nolonger valid now," stated an official of CLH Turism, owned byAustria's CLH Immobilien Und Beteiligung, which several years agobought 10 hectares of land in 23 August.
Nevertheless, the mayor and deputy mayor of 23 August maintain theyare going to release town-planning certificates for the company tostart construction works.
"In the wake of discussions we've had with these investors, wefound out they would build two over 10-storey hotels and a 40-villacomplex," stated Mugur Mitrana, 23 August mayor.
Moreover, Mitrana maintains the project has already been presentedto Elena Udrea, the tourism and regional development minister, andthat she was delighted by the two certificates and promised tofacilitate the raising of funding for infrastructure and utilitiesinvestments.
