Anca Boagiu, transport and infrastructure minister, is startingto have increasingly more in common with her predecessor, RaduBerceanu, as well as with other previous transport ministers, suchas Ludovic Orban and Gheorghe Dobre, who, although they had 2billion euros per year at their disposal, only talked aboutbuilding motorways, but failed to walk the walk.

Since her appointment in September 2010 until now, Anca Boagiuhas promised several times, even as recently as a week ago, thatAutostrada Soarelui (A2 - Sun Motorway) will be ready by the end ofthe year.
However, on Wednesday night she announced on Pro TV's evening newsprogramme that the ministry could terminate the contract for theCernavodă-Medgidia section, signed with French company Colas, andthat motorists will be able use the motorway to go to the seaside, but will have to use bypasses between Cernavodă and Medgidia.
"We will no longer tolerate delays. If a company has earned acontract, it needs to observe the deadline. Those who are late needto pay damages to the Romanian state. Next year in December I willbe able to take the motorway home," Anca Boagiu said firmly onNovember 10 2010.
And not only then, but also in January and February 2011. "As faras the Cernavodă - Constanţa motorway is concerned, there have beenbig expropriation problems, but all the land issues will be solvedby the end of March, so there won't be any reasons for works to bedelayed. This motorway can be opened for traffic in 2011, motoristswill be able to use it, but only on one lane in each direction,"Anca Boagiu said on February 14th 2011.
