20.06.2008, 20:36 25

Oasis Retail Development & Consulting, which has announced plans to develop a ten shopping-centre network on the local market, has chosen the anchor tenants for the retail parks in Botosani, Focsani and Giurgiu, where Kaufland stores that cover 6,500 square metres, will open. It has also chosen the anchor for the project in Braila, which will be an OBI home improvement store. Oasis is controlled by two businessmen in Sibiu - Klaus Reisenauer and Kurt Wagner - and has invested around 100 million euros in land acquisition in Bucharest, Sibiu, Satu Mare, Botosani, Targu-Mures, Pitesti, Focsani, Braila, Oradea and Giurgiu, where it announced its intention to develop shopping centres in joint venture with other investors. Klaus Reisenauer, manager and one of the shareholders of Oasis, says the company will continue to develop the announced projects, although banks are much less willing to finance retail projects on the local market.
