100m-dollar fund for Central and Eastern Europe

10.07.2006, 18:56 10

East Capital this month will launch a new fund targeting investments in the South-Eastern European area, with a total capitalisation worth 100 million dollars, the company specialising in financial assets management has announced. East Capital Bering Balkan Fund will be launched by East Capital Alternative Investments, a subsidiary of East Capital Holding, at the end of July. "Romania's and Bulgaria's accession to the EU in 2007 will put the two countries in a very favourable light, having them benefit from tremendous investments. One example is the lack of highways in Romania, which has plans to invest 18 billion euros by 2010 to modernise the transport infrastructure," say representatives of East Capital.
