Several residential complexes in Bucharest continue to havehundreds of apartments available, as a result of projects beingcompleted in full crisis, with only 42 families having moved intothe two Monaco Towers blocks of apartments in Berceni so far, afterLebanese-held Marble House built 304 apartments.

The sales manager of the project, an around 30 million-euroinvestment, says 33% of the apartments have been bought, but notall clients have moved in, with one tower block not being used atall, while for the second tower block, one lift out of three isenough to transport inhabitants.
"Two-room apartments have a fixed price. Three-room ones arenegotiable," says Victor Marinescu, sales manager of the complexlocated close to underground station Dimitrie Leonida (IMGB) andfinalised in December 2009. How much do they cost? Two-roomapartments cost 80,000 euros (VAT included), three-room apartmentscost 137,000 euros, and duplexes near 300,000 euros.
Competition is still high. Developers have over 5,000 newapartments completed, while owners of old, three-room apartmentshave lowered prices below 60,000 euros, in order to qualify for the'First Home' scheme.
