Peter Krasyk, Grawe: Every month 200 clients give up their life insurance policies

The number of those giving up life insurance policies rose significantly since the end of last year, although by cancelling the policy, the client loses a portion of the money invested. Grawe, one of the top ten players on the life insurance market, saw a 50% rise in the number of clients giving up life insurance policies, with around 200 such cancellations on average per month.
"The last few months have seen much more clients seeking to redeem their policies, both very new contracts and old ones. Many clients fear the crisis and think they shouldn't trust small companies when the world's largest insurance company (AIG i.e.) has problems," says Peter Kasyk, general manager of Grawe in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The entire life insurance market is facing a major increase in the number of clients giving up their policies before due date, with clients standing to lose a bigger or a smaller sum, depending on the number of years that have passed since the signing of the contract.
