Encouraging customers to turn more towards exports,strengthening assistance to those facing insolvency, and raisingthe degree of sophistication of financing products to big customersare among the priorities of Gianfranco Bisagni, 52, who officiallytook over the corporate investment banking and private bankingdivision of UniCredit Ţiriac Bank.
He was appointed executive vice-president in April, after thedeparture of Melih Mengu, who returned to Turkey, and has recentlybeen approved by the NBR (National Bank of Romania).
"Since I came to Romania I have met with several customers andbrought up the option of developing exports. I think a lot can bedone in this respect, even in the case of companies that have yetto export, because this can compensate for the market lost as aresult of the recession," Bisagni says.
On the other hand, the head of the corporate division of UniCreditŢiriac Bank says he wants to bring foreign investors to Romaniausing the bank's strong presence in Italy, Germany, andAustria.
