Lafarge Agregate si Betoane (aggregates and concrete) reported losses of around 500,000 euros (18.2bn ROL) for the first quarter of this year, while the company''s sales totalled about 1.35 million euros (48.7bn ROL). Operating revenues in the same period amounted to about 2.65 million euros (96.2bn ROL). The company''s representatives could not be reached for comment. At present, the French group is present in Romania through Lafarge Romcim (cement), Lafarge Agregate (aggregates and concrete), Lafarge Arcom Gips (plasterboard), Bramac and Schiedel (roofs and chimneys) and, starting last year, Sicim Constanta harbour operator. The domestic market is currently divided among three global players, Lafarge (France), HeidelbergCement (Germany) and Holcim (Switzerland), with each player owning three cement plants. ZF
