10m-euro business plan for La Mama restaurants

The La Mama restaurant network estimates a turnover worth over 9 million euros this year, approximately 50% higher than last year, as the company intends to expand its network. "We intend to have 10 La Mama restaurants in Bucharest and more countrywide. The Cafepedia network, (the company's coffee shop brand) will also expand both to Bucharest and to the main cities in the country," said Adina Nargang, marketing manager of La Mama. The company currently operates six restaurants in Bucharest, two of which were opened this year in Piata Alba Iulia and in the Feeria shopping centre in Baneasa. Moreover, the owner of La Mama, businessman Catalin Mahu, has recently announced that the chain will also focus on the coffee shop segment. The first such place was opened in the La Mama restaurant located in the Piata Alba Iulia area. The total investment in the location, for both the restaurant and the coffee shop, amounted to 450,000 euros.
