Autoconstruct, the representative on the local market of several manufacturers of equipment used in the transport of materials and construction machinery, and of waste material and fuel, saw sales worth 10 million euros in the first nine months of the year, a 53% increase against the same period of last year. "Growth is due primarily to the increasing volume of construction, as well as to the fact that the vehicle fleet is old and it has become absolutely necessary to replace it,"said Viorel Rusu, general manager and sole shareholder of the company. Autoconstruct targets sales of 17 million euros from equipment this year, a 30% increase against 2005 and a twofold increase against 2004, when, according to representatives, it posted sales worth eight million euros. The upward trend is expected to continue next year as well, thanks both to investments made and to the growth of the construction market, as well as to Romania's accession to the European Union.
