Over 120 luxury cars, with prices in excess of 120,000 euros were imported and registered last year, according to statistics from the Registration Department at the Ministry of Interior and Administration Reform. No less than 25 Ferraris, 47 Bentleys, 12 Lamborghinis, 25 Maseratis and 11 Rolls Royces were officially registered last year. The cumulated value of luxury and saloon cars on the Romanian market exceeds 18 million euros, with the prices being calculated based on the average sales price for every brand and the depreciated value of each particular brand (in the case of used cars). According to the Ministry of Interior, imports of luxury cars reached 61 units for new models, and 62 units for second-hand models, up 74% and 158% respectively against the previous year. Bentley saw the best performance, with 47 units, 21 new cars and 26 second-hand cars imported last year.
