25% higher business for Tiger Somes

Dej-based packaging manufacturer Tiger Somes, posted turnover worth 7.4 million euros in the first nine months of the year, an over 25% increase compared with the same time last year. "Economic growth generated by the increase in the volume of investments, as well as the development of our export arm have been the main factors that have contributed to the growth in the first nine months," Mircea Itu, chief executive of Tiger Somes told ZF. According to him, exports grew by some 20%, accounting for some 55% of the turnover posted in the first three quarters of 2006. The company predominantly exports to Italy, France, Germany, Slovakia, Austria, Turkey and Poland. Company representatives estimate the trend of the financial indicators will maintain within the same parameters, with the management of Tiger Somes estimating a turnover worth some 11 million euros for this year. "The forecast is closely linked to investments in developing our production facilities, as well as with us expanding our collaboration with our foreign partners in France and Germany (...), Mircea Itu added.
