38m euros in three foreign investments

Three companies, i.e. Yazaki (Japan), Faurecia (France) and T&K Design (Turkey), are planning to invest more than 38 million euros in Romania's automotive parts sector and textile industry, the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investments (ARIS) says. The biggest project, worth some 30 million euros will be run by Yazaki Europe Corporation, part of one of the most important machinery construction groups in the world. The company plans to build a factory in the industrial area of the Arad City, an investment scheduled for completion in 2008. Yazaki Europe Corporation is already conducting operations in Romania in the Crangul lui Bot Industrial Park. The second project is the one run by Faurecia, a leading international automotive components company. The group will build a facility to make tapestry for car chairs in Talmaciu, near Sibiu. The total project is worth about $7.7 million. As for Turkey's T&K Design, it announced plans to invest one million euros in a textile mill set to operate within the Plopeni Industrial Park in Prahova County. ZF
