Baumeister, a constructions company owned by businessman Dan Grigore Adamescu, is in talks to bring back Romanian workers from Spain. The workers will be employed in two housing projects developed in Constanta, in total worth around 10m euros. "We're in talks with Romanians in Spain who left the country several years ago and want to come back to Romania. There are two teams of 10 people, that is 20 skilled workers in total," stated Sorin Panait Seteanu, Baumeister's general manager. Negotiations are due to be finalised within a month depending on workers' financial demands. The main reason why Romanians working abroad are willing to come home is the financial incentives. Construction wages in Spain range between 700 and 1,500 euros, but Seteanu says wages have risen on the domestic market lately, as well.
