Aectra, through its Romanian branch, expects to see $33 million (25 million euros) derived from sales at the end of the year, 20% more than last year, due to the strong growth in the agriculture sector. The agricultural sector rose 20% in the first nine months compared with last year, with statistics showing 2004 was one of the best years after 1990. "Most of the products sold by Aectra come from US-based multinational companies and we use the dollars as the currency for our business. The over 10% growth of the market of chemical products for the farming sector contributed to the company's results," said Dan Popescu, Aectra's general manager. Almost two thirds of the company's turnover is derived from the products used in the farming sector (pesticides for instance). ZF
