Amco Otopeni turns profit in 2006

Amco Otopeni posted a 15.03 million-RON turnover last year, up 26.6% against the 2005 results and an approximately 107,000-RON profit, against the four million-RON losses seen in 2004. The company's shareholders approved the allocation of a sum of 8.2 million RON, which was secured from reappraising the company's assets at the end of 2005 to the reserve account derived from reappraisal, according to an Amco release sent on Tuesday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The company specialises in researching, designing, manufacturing and selling precious metals. The company's major shareholder is Gheorghe Porumb, holding 30.8%, and another two individuals with 10.3% stakes.
