Amsterdam Cafe manager takes over Rembrandt Hotel

Dutchman Jerry Van Schaik, whose name is mainly linked to Amsterdam Grand Cafe of the capital city, took control over Rembrandt Hotel company, managing the three-star Rembrandt hotel in the Lipscani area. A stake of 67% in the share capital of Rembrandt Hotel was assigned to Van Schaik by Quadra Invest company, operating in the domain of furniture and controlled by another Dutch businessman, Gijsbertus Huijink. Van Schaik is thus controlling 98% of the company's share capital. Quadra Invest is not a shareholder in Rembrandt at this moment, but Huijink is the one personally holding the rest of 2% in the business. Van Schaik is, together with Huijink, one of the founding shareholders of Amsterdam Grand Cafe bar of Bucharest. Van Schaik is the general manager of this bar. Rembrandt hotel officials told ZF the hotel posted turnover worth 0.65 million RON (about 0.18 million euros) in the first half of this year.
