Argillon sees turnover up 670%

25.09.2006, 18:55 9

Argillon Romania, a manufacturer of medium and high voltage porcelain insulators, part of Argillon Germany, has seen a 4.7 million-euro increase in turnover in the first six months of the year. This turnover is 670% higher compared with the same period last year, when this indicator stood at 700,000 euros. "The exit from the European market of NGK, the biggest insulators manufacturer worldwide, which decided to close down its only plant in Europe (Belgium), gave free access to a portion of the market. Besides, the market of high voltage porcelain insulators is now seeing an upward trend all over the world, and especially in Europe. The high demand on the European market comes as a result of the increase in investments in the energy field," Danut Pop, general manager of Argillon Romania, told ZF Transilvania.
