Austral, a company that distributes stationery and office supplies, posted 7 million euro sales in the first nine months of the year, an increase of 30% on the corresponding period 2004. "The increase in sales was due to the broadening of the portfolio of products added to our supply and to the increase in the number of clients," stated Teddy Mocanu, the company''s sales manager. Austral''s best selling products were the copier paper, document protection foil, folders, adhesive tapes for packaging, permanent markers and disposable ballpoint pens. The company last year posted some 8 million euros in turnover, up 30% from 2003. "We anticipate to make 11.7 million euro turnover in 2005, mainly because of the national expansion, the broadening of the product supply with new categories, including cleaning items, coffee, computers and peripherals, photo and video cameras, and of the increase of the sales through supermarket and hypermarket chains," stated Emil Deliu, Austral''s general manager.
