Greek company Sephora Marinopoulos intends to open another five Beauty Shop and Sephora stores in Romania until the end of the year, which would mean an expansion of the network to up to ten locations, doubling the number of the company''s total stores, according to Georgios Betchavas, country manager of the company. "We will open two Sephora and three Beauty Shop stores by the end of 2006 in Bucharest and the rest of the country," says Betchavas. He explained that the investment for the five locations would reach approximately 1.5 million euros. The company posted about 10 million-euro turnover in 2005, close to the level budgeted for last year. Betchavas says he expects turnover to go up by 20% in 2006. "Our estimate is based on the opening of new stores, as well as on the launch of new products and on attracting new customers on the market," stated Betchavas. The company witnessed a similar growth last year against 2004. The first outlet to be opened will be a Sephora store, located in the Carrefour Orhideea shopping centre, and will start operating as of April 12, say representatives of the Greek firm. The company owns another Beauty Shop in the same location. ZF
