The value of local software and IT consultancy services for companies will reach 200-300 million euros in two or three years, against the approximately 100 million euros last year, according to estimates made by Augustin Dragan, general manager of Sistec-SBsol, the IT solutions division of RTC Holding. "Last year, the market of software licences for applications to be used by companies stood at some 50 million euros; the 100 million euro estimate was obtained by adding the consultancy and implementation services associated with IT projects," said Augustin Dragan. He added that the estimate regarding the market value for the next few years depends on a number of factors, such as the accession to the European Union. "We are expecting to see the market boom after the EU integration, but the positive effects won''t be noticeable right away. The market will probably see a surge in 2008 or 2009," Dragan added. Sistec-SBsol, which estimates turnover worth 16 million euros this year, provides business consultancy, develops and implements software applications and provides hardware products and services for the IT infrastructure.
