Coca-Cola set to resume expansion on new market segments in 2012

Coca-Cola's tackling of new product categories may be possibleafter the non-alcoholic drinks market returns to growth, namelystarting 2012, according to the company's new manager, EvgueniaStoichkova.


The Bulgarian manager sees domestic consumption stabilise nextyear and maintains the large gaps to the European average are stillgiving Romania hopes it will remain among the most dynamic emergingmarkets for the US giant.
The 41-year old manager is coordinating a team of around 30 peoplein Romania, whose task is to controlling everything that happenswith Coca-Cola brands on the market and of seizing new portfolioexpansion opportunities.
Stoichkova says that on short term the market is not attractive fornew product category launches. On long term, though, products thatare highly popular in Western Europe or in the US will gain afoothold on the Romanian market as well, according to Coca-Colamanager.
