Companies that grew despite the crisis: Look for unexplored markets

"I grew in times of crisis. I grew out of desperation not tolose the company and out of a desire to create my own brand. Ifound a niche, I wanted to find it. I did a lot of research. In thefirst year, in order to understand the business, I worked from 7 inthe morning to 12 at night," says Doina Cepalis, sole shareholderof Te-Rox Prod, which Ziarul Financiar and private equity firmEnterprise Investors named as the highest-performing company in theMoldova-Dobrogea region, during an event organised inConstanta.

The company has been operating in the textile industry since2007, and manufactures infant car seat covers and seat belts.

In order to grow even in a time of crisis, companies need toadjust their business to market conditions and look for unexploredmarket niches, is one of the conclusions of the Constantaconference.

ZF and Enterprise Investors rewarded in Constanta thehighest-performing companies in the Dobrogea-Moldova area, with thetop position being held by Te-Rox Prod in Pascani, which recordedan average annual turnover rise of 650.9%.

The second prize was awarded to Tehnostrade in Constanta, withan average turnover rise of over 137%, with Ser Transnav at no. 3,with a 127% increase.
