The Romanian furniture market is becoming more interesting to the major players in this industry. The latest example in this regard is French Conforama Group, one of the European leaders on the market of furniture and home appliance stores. The French will open an office in Romania and use it for acquisitions, but have no plans for stores or at least a factory for the time being. "We plan to open an office in Romania next year, and use it to buy furniture or other supplies from Romanian producers. We are interested in the Romanian market, but have no project for a production facility or for a takeover," Marie Lavaux, Conforama Group's PR manager told Ziarul Financiar. Conforama, one of the largest furniture networks in France is part of the Pinault-Printemps Redoute Group and sells furniture and home appliances. ZF
