Cosmote and Vodafone seeking high-income clients for iPhone 4

Apple iPhone 4, one of the world's best-selling smartphones, isbeing used by Cosmote and Vodafone mobile telephony operators as ameans of keeping and attracting high-income clients, reveal thecommercial offers published by the operators.
Both Cosmote and Vodafone launched three tariff plans for iPhone,with the lowest tariff being set at 19 euros, a sum above theaverage telecom spending on the domestic market. At Cosmote, theaverage monthly combined income per user stands at around 5 euros,while at Vodafone the average monthly income from a subscriberstands at 14.1 euros, and that from a prepay client at 2.5euros.
Subsidies offered with the acquisition of an iPhone 4 also showoperators are targeting high-income users, and particularly thosealready in the network. Business users make another target forVodafone.
Cosmote, the only operator that does not sell iPhonenetwork-locked, had a cautious approach in subsidising the phone,including instead the biggest data traffic and number of SMSs, MMSsand call minutes against the similar subscriptions of Orange andVodafone.
