In the first six months of this year, Alcoa Fujikura registered turnover worth 5.9 million euros on the Romanian market, double the turnover posted during the same period last year. Alcoa's H1 profit reached about 160,000 euros, in line with the half-year balance. In Romania, the company holds two units assembling wiring networks for electrical distribution systems in automobiles. The Alcoa Fujikura investment in the two plants sited close to Chisinau-Cris and Caransebes amounts to 3.4 million euros. Over the last period, the company's sales enjoyed an upwards trend, due to the increase in the production capacity of the two plants opened in Romania, as well as being due to a number of new contracts. In the last six months, the company's workforce increased following the boost to production capacity. At present, the total number of Alcoa Fujikura Romania employees exceeds 2,300. ZF
