EADS looks to hire first 100 employees for the Braşov plant

European aeronautical giant EADS, which has invested 45 millioneuros in Braşov in the construction of an aeroplane componentplant, has started recruitment of over 100 personnel throughrecruitment firms.

Premium Aerotec, subsidiary of the EADS group and the companythrough which the investments are made, is looking to hire peoplefor all specialisations, from electricians and maintenancemechanics to engineers and senior accountants (speakers of German),and is set to reach 300 employees in Ghimbav town (Braşov county),according to estimates made by company officials at the beginningof this year. The plant, built on a 60,000 square-metre area withinthe site of helicopter manufacturer IAR, started production inJanuary.

Labour costs in Romania are several times lower than in Germany(where Premium Aerotec has four plants), because the salary of aGerman-speaking accountant in Romania amounts to up to 500-600euros net per month, while in Germany a senior accountant withthree to five years' experience does not make less than 3,000 eurosper month.
