The online store intends to expand throughout the country by setting up 20 storehouses in the largest Romanian cities, to assure a more efficient management of its distribution network over the forthcoming period. "The storehouse network will not comprise of a great variety of products but it will however, act as a buffer zone between the main storehouse based in Bucharest and the other storehouses in Romanian cities," explains Lucian Condruz, product manager with eMAG. The company's officials estimate the expansion process will be completed in the next two years. The products are currently delivered through a courier company as well as through the company's car fleet, which includes 15 cars. "Our goal regarding the logistics network is to expand our presence throughout the rest of the country, to assure a better coordination of deliveries and to develop closer relations with our customers; which is essential if we are to win their confidence," said Radu Apostolescu. EMAG delivered 12% of the laptop computers sold on the domestic market last year, Lucian Condruz also stated.
