Europharm makes GSK branded antibiotics

18.10.2004, 00:00 8

The production arm of Europharm group, an integrated company of GlaxoSmithKline, the leader of the Romanian pharmaceuticals market, has started producing GSK branded antibiotics. The move is part of the last stage of strategic reshuffling and rebranding of the units of the British company, which entirely took over Europharm group with its production, distribution and retail activities in 1998 and 2003 in the wake of two successive acquisitions. The new products in the antibiotics portfolio to be made in Brasov will also display the GSK logo beside Europharm's new one. "The results of our production activities can be measured in line with the standards of the company we belong to since Europharm plant is integrated into the GSK international production network," stated Roberto Musneci, chairman of Europharm and deputy chairman and regional manager for SE Europe of GlaxoSmithKline.
