Europharm surges 27%

02.03.2004, 00:00 10

Europharm Holding, the distribution unit of the Europharm group, which is held by the British group GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), reported $97m in turnover last year, up 27% from 2002. The company, one of the largest drug distributors in Romania, says sales boomed due to the past years' investments and restructuring. "The restructuring process chiefly aimed to redefine the logistic and sales departments and to set up new ones, such as the marketing and quality control departments. Moreover, we hired another 180 people and opened two new branches last year," Gabriel Matei, commercial manager with Europharm Holding, told Ziarul Financiar. ZF
