Faur expects lower turnover

05.07.2004, 00:00 5

Faur SA Bucharest expects turnover to reach 12.8 million euros in 2004, down nearly 5% from 2003, when it amounted to more than 13 million euros, company officials say. Faur's business is affected by the lack of the necessary amount of capital Romanian companies are experiencing that would go to major investments in equipment, even though co-operation with its long-time partners in Romania, such as SNCFR (national railway carrier) is better. The company makes rolling stock (hydraulic and electric diesel locomotives), equipment for the metallurgical industry, the chemical and petrochemical industry, as well as diesel engines and equipment for the naval industry.
