AutoItalia, the importer of the Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati and SsangYong brands on the domestic market, estimates sales of 9,500 units for the whole of this year, an approximately 35% increase against last year, stated the company's general manager, Herbert Stein. Early this year the company anticipated a 20% increase to 8,500 units, including 3,000 commercial vehicles, following the overall upward trend of the market, which its officials estimated at 15-20%. The best selling models are the Fiat Albea, the Fiat Grande Punto, the Fiat Punto Classico, the Fiat Doblo Panorama and the Alfa Romeo 159. The first nine months saw 4,357 Fiat vehicles, 169 Alfa Romeo vehicles, 33 Lancia vehicles, 202 SsangYong vehicles and 2,077 Fiat units respectively delivered. During this period, the company distributed eight Maserati luxury vehicles, two less than last year. Total sales in the first nine months of this year reached 6,846 units. AutoItalia was set up 13 years ago and is the general importer of the Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, SsangYong, Honda and Segway brands.
