Autoitalia Group, the importer of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati and SsangYong for the Romanian market, estimates it will see sales of more than 5,000 units this year, an increase of over 20% on last year''s sales of 4,150 units. "Our turnover was 60 million euros last year," said Herbert Stein, chairman of Autoitalia. If average car prices and the vehicle service business stay at a similar level this year then the group''s turnover can be expected to overshoot 70 million euros. Among the different brands the company imports, Fiat is the best represented on the local market. Fiat had sales of 1,650 units in the first four months of the year, more than double the around 700 units sold in the same period last year. Fiat ranks sixth among imported brands on the market by sales. Alfa Romeo sales grew by 9% in the first four months coming close to 50 units. ZF
