Five consortia have submitted bids for the acquisition of 80% in state-owned construction supplies producer Soceram Bucharest, sources close to the transaction told Ziarul Financiar. The bid submission deadline set by the State Assets Resolution Authority (AVAS), which had already been delayed twice, expired on Thursday. The business will be settled among domestic players on the construction materials market, after major foreign investors had initially expressed interest in Soceram. "Bids for Soceram have been submitted by consortiums made up of Simcor Oradea and Celco Constanta, Elpreco Craiova and Imsat Bucharest, by the one made up of Metaleuroest (owner of Neptun Campina i.e.) and an individual, a consortium led by Ceramica Urziceni and one made up of Chematex and an individual," the above-mentioned sources stated.
