Flamingo International, the third largest retailer of home appliances in Romania, delivered around 10,000 computers to Romtelecom (one of the largest telecommunications operators on the local market) as part of the Clicknet Internet access offer. Computers supplied by Flamingo are assembled under the company's own brand, and laptops, under the Fujitsu Siemens brand. "We managed to deliver around 10,000 computers to Romtelecom before December, and now we are considering extending the contract," said Jiri Rizek, CEO of Flamingo. Rizek did not wish to specify the value of the contract, but, according to ZF estimates, it would amount to 4.4 million euros, if desktops accounted for 60%. Clicknet Internet service subscribers who opt for the 3 Mbps-speed, 20-euro/month subscription (VAT-excluded), receive a Flamingo Gemina office computer, a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, or a 50% cut in their subscription fee as part of the Romtelecom offer.
