Metromedia International Group (MIG) has completed the sale of the FX Communications and FX Internet to a syndicate comprising Romania Cable Systems and Astral Telecom, a deal that should provide a net gain of $16 million. "We are very pleased with the price we got for the two companies. The deal included repayment of $9.9 million debt plus $6.6 million for the stakes held by MIG. The price is 9.7 times higher than the EBITDA generated by the two companies and accounts for approximately $133 per cable and Internet services subscriber," said Ernie Pyle, the group's executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
