Gabbro, producer of plaster finishing coats and other adhesives for the constructions industry, has estimated it will post an over 10.8 million-euro turnover in 2007 resulting in a 25% increase on the financial indicators registered in 2006, when the Timisoara-based company posted sales worth 8.65 million euros.
"The positive trend seen by the financial indicators was prompted by the strong development of the construction industry, which we expect to continue in the next few years, as well, driven by the fact that the offer of new buildings has not managed to match the existing demand of the market. The current main growth factors for the constructions market are the need for new homes to be built, along with an increased commitment to the renovation of properties," Gheorghe Fernea, general manager of the company, told ZF.
For 2007, Gabbro has budgeted investments worth 1.5 million euros, with a view to developing its production capacity by acquiring new equipment and machinery, consolidate the company's sales network and increase the supplies of the necessary raw materials for manufacturing activities.
Last year, the company conducted similar investment programmes, with investments in 2006 totalling 0.8 million euros.
The company manufactures plaster finishing products, floor tile adhesives, wall tiles, natural stone, and adhesive mortar for masonry work. The products are sold under the brand name Ceradez, and distributed through the company's own sales network, which covers the entire country.
"Since 2005, we have been selling plastering products and dyes produced by companies in Hungary in an attempt to supplement our range of products dedicated to finishing work in construction.
This year, we intend to launch a range of dry mortar products for plastering, and to develop other new plaster-based products," stated Gheorghe Fernea.
