Gerom shareholders target investments of over 60m euros

During the General Meeting held on Friday, shareholders of window glass manufacturer Gerom Buzau planned a 60.4 million-euro medium-term investment. The company plans to invest 48 million euros in the production of glass packaging, and 12 million euros in manufacturing car-window panes. The bulk of the investment (85%) will be financed by loans, with a 41.4 million euro loan taken for packaging production and 10.2 million euros borrowed for the car windowpane project. Gerom's short-term investments will stand at 2.2 million euros and will go towards the production of thermal-insulating panes and windows. For this project, the company will take out a loan worth 1.8 million euros, guaranteed by goods held by the company.
