Marius Ghenea, one of the founders of electronics, home appliances and IT&C retailer Flamingo, has acquired 51% of shares in the Ploiesti-based metallic roofing manufacturer Viking Profil, and expects to invest around 2 million euros in the company over the next 3 years. As a result of the deal, Ghenea will invest in a field that is different from the IT industry, after he was attracted by the high yields on the constructions market. "For several years now, I have been developing a diverse portfolio of investments, typical for a business angel. Currently, I am examining at least 2-3 investment proposals a week, which are coming from Romanian entrepreneurs, and Viking's proposal was one of them. We started talks at the end of September, and signed the agreement at the end of December," Marius Ghenea told ZF.
