Gima supermarket chain is resuming its expansion strategy on the Romanian market. After having closed two stores in Bucharest and Constanta in recent years, Gima will be opening two more stores in Bucharest in 2004. The first such supermarket, located on the Colentina road close to the Bucur Obor complex, will open during the middle of this week. The second Gima, located inside Plaza Romania, the second mall-type complex developed by Anchor Grup, will open this autumn. This latter store will take up more than 5,000 sqm according to Plaza Romania officials, making it the largest supermarket in a shopping complex in Romania. ZF
