Impact to pay dividends as usual

30.03.2005, 00:00 6

Constructor and real estate developer Impact Bucharest will pay out approximately one third of the profits made last year to its shareholders as dividends, as in recent years. Unlike in recent years, however, Impact will not be performing a capital increase by selling new shares together with the dividend payout. The value of the gross dividend should come to about 280 ROL/share. "We will suggest that our shareholders get about one third of last year's profit distributed as dividends, as in recent years," said company chairman Ioan Popp. He did not rule out a new increase by subscription in the next few months. Popp is the main shareholder in Impact with around 29%. Impact made preliminary net profits of 4 million euros (162.8bn ROL) in 2004, down 16% on the previous year. Turnover rose 43% to 25.6 million euros (1,039bn ROL). The company lost money in final months of 2004 due to the depreciation of the euro, the currency it used for its contacts. ZF
